Upon dining in the restaurant of Convento di San Colombo, I found myself immersed in a culinary journey that echoed the rich history of this charming establishment. As I perused the menu, I was enticed by the promise of traditional dishes with a modern twist. Opting for the chef's special, I was presented with a mouthwatering plate of creamy burrata drizzled with local honey and sprinkled with freshly cracked black pepper. the combination of flavors was a true celebration of Italy's gastronomic heritage. Later, at the bar/lounge, I indulged in a glass of velvety Amarone while soaking in the rustic yet elegant ambiance. the warm glow of the fireplace and the soft background music created the perfect setting for unwinding after a day of exploration. As for breakfast, the spread of local cheese and salami provided a delightful start to the day, though I found myself wishing for a touch more variety.
